Holiday Dinner Program
One of the best times to observe any culture is during the holiday season when traditions and cultural heritage go on display. Volunteers can call the IHCA office, 505-4079, to extend a one-time invitation for Thanksgiving or Christmas Day dinner to an international student or faculty.

Volunteers Needed for Community Involvement in International Visitor Leadership Program
The International Visitor Leadership Program is a valuable asset for American Diplomacy andt IHCA is proud to bring to Austin.Volunteers an opportunity to participate and be provided in depth information on a wide variety of topics, local hospitality, and cultural enrichment to the participants in this program. IHCA works with the U.S. Department of State and program agencies in Washington, D.C. to create professional and personal opportunities for international leaders and opinion makers to meet and exchange ideas with American citizens.

These guests are distinguished leaders or emerging leaders from various countries around the world. The international visitor leadership program is an asset for American diplomacy. Over 194 current world politicians have participated in the International Visitor Programs. IHCA has an extensive outreach program for community involvement in visitor programming and has a broad spectrum of community resources. We arrange for these international visitors to meet and share ideas with local leaders in both the private and public sector. In addition, we arrange for home hospitality. As a result of these meetings, enduring personal and professional relationships are formed among the future leaders of the world. Our goal is to develop a more internationally competent citizenry through quality programs for international visitors.
